Greater Manchester at the forefront of offering PMA Level 3 and Level 5 Leadership & Management Diplomas

//Greater Manchester at the forefront of offering PMA Level 3 and Level 5 Leadership & Management Diplomas

The PMA are delighted to confirm further collaboration with the GM Health and Social Care Partnership and the GP Excellence Programme.

Following the success, earlier this year, of the bursary offer from the Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Partnership to co-fund the ESFA contribution which enabled an impressive number of practice staff to enrol in Level 3 or Level 5 ILM Leadership and Management Diplomas. This superb opportunity is being offered a second time around to all practice staff in the 10 Greater Manchester CCGs.

They are planning to begin the next cohort of learners in January 2019 and prospective candidates will be existing non-clinical practice staff or those who are seeking to develop into this role.

PMA GP Assistant Practice Manager – ILM Level 3 Diploma in Leadership & Management

This qualification is ideal for practice members who are already working in an established management role and who are managing teams and / or projects and working towards achieving operational goals, managing change and meeting strategic objectives.

PMA GP Practice Manager – ILM Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management

This qualification is suitable for practice staff who are now expected to manage and lead projects and teams. They may be taking their first steps into line management and have some management responsibilities. These diplomas offer individuals and practices a fabulous opportunity for succession planning, to network with peer groups and gain a range of essential key, transferable leadership and management skills to support the individual’s development in return for a demonstrable level of commitment to learning. Each learner will be supported and supervised by a single lead tutor for the duration of the diploma which we believe is a cornerstone of effective learning and development of existing and new knowledge and skills.
