The PMAs workshops can now be delivered as interactive Web Workshops – the new format web sessions are adapted from our face to face workshops.

We are aiming to adapt all of our workshops so they can be delivered either in your locality or via the web – giving you the option of a blended learning programme.

We can also adapt the sessions to address any local issues or specific concerns you have. The web workshops provide practice staff with access to online training, which can be delivered in a convenient time window to meet you specific needs.

Subject to the workshop(s) required they may be delivered either as a virtual web workshop in 2x 2-hour web workshop sessions plus a 1-hour reflection session or as an intensive full day face to face workshop.

The web workshops can be accessed from any device and are delivered LIVE by our facilitators. Delegates can interact and engage during the session by raising their virtual hand or posting questions through the system. As an added benefit, each of the sessions will be recorded enabling practice staff to share the outputs with their colleagues, who can watch this at their convenience. The presentation slides and handouts will be emailed ahead of each session to allow delegates to print these for reference or the exercises that will be an integral component of the web workshop format.

PMA staff will be on hand and online during the session to help and assist delegates with any technical issues and to ensure that they can log on to the system.

After the web workshop, the delegates will be asked to complete a short feedback survey on the session – and all delegates that attended the session will receive a PMA certificate of attendance.

Features

PMA use GotoWebinar to host our web workshops, a web system accessed via a link sent out to all registered delegates. It provides secure access for NHS staff and provides delegates with the right training environment to engage with our facilitator.

The delegate cameras are switched off – but they will see the contributor and the slide materials. All attendees will be muted through the session to limit interruptions and any background noise, but they will be able to engage by raising their virtual hand in the system if they have a question at any time.

Through this system we can post questions to our delegates via interactive polls, we can use white boards to illustrate topics and we can unmute attendees to ask questions to our facilitator if that is required.

Numbers will be limited to 35 delegates to ensure there is an opportunity for everybody to engage and to ensure we can cater for any localised requirements of the commissioning CCG, STP or Training Hub.

Benefits

Learn anywhere – staff are able to access our web workshops from any location i.e. practice, home, office, or elsewhere via a laptop, PC or smart phone as long as they have internet access.

PMA will award those attending any six PMA web workshops with the ‘PMA Excellence in Practice Management’ certificate.
