Project Description

This workshop focuses on the different types of non-clinical disputes encountered in General Practice, how they manifest, how they can be avoided (or at least handled early in the process), and what to do should this intervention fail to resolve the issues. It will be delivered as an interactive session with practical tips and scenarios to work through to enable practice managers to recognise and handle disputes that occur in their practice or PCN. The module is delivered by a working GP who also mediates disputes that occur in the General Practice setting.

  • To understand the common types of disputes in General Practice and how to avoid them.
  • To have a framework for identifying and managing them early on.
  • To have an awareness of what to do should those interventions fail.
